Han,

Have you decided anything about who you're going to write to for YPL??? I keep dithering about it and changing my mind, and I know I'm dithering but I can't seem to stop.

Between that and the fact that it looks like I might have to take on Frobisher's solo after all, my brain feels like it's running in circles!

I really do hope someone can help Frobisher though--here's someone who's practically our age and she's either starving herself or having to take a potion or whatever it is that's been turning her all vague and not quite there. You'd think a bunch of clever grownups could come up with something that doesn't do...that.

Oh! I just thought of something I was going to ask you! Would you like to come stay with us for a few days over hols? Do you think your mum and dad would let you come? You could bring Chessie too, if she needs something to do. Carrie would be thrilled to have another girl playmate!

If we both get in the YPL programme, maybe we could meet in Diagon or something before that too.

Oh, I don't know either, and I'm having such a hard time deciding! Sometimes I think I should write to someone at St. Mungo's, and sometimes I think I should do something with Arithmancy...but what are the options with that, other than Gringott's? (Do they expect us to write to the head goblin? I don't think so!)

You'll do fine with Frobisher's solo. You do have such a lovely voice, Susan, don't ever tell yourself you don't! I think they're really lucky that they picked you as an understudy.

It is sad about Frobisher, although of course I don't know her as well as you do.

Oh, I'd love to come for a visit during the holiday! And Chessie would be thrilled if she could come, too. My parents will be taking us for a tour of the Lake District sometime in July, but otherwise we're free.

What about Herbology? You're really ace at that, and I'm sure Professor Sprout would know of someone you could talk to!

Although, being a medi-witch would probably be pretty nift--if you like that sort of thing.

Maybe something like research into medicinal magical plants, for healing potion ingredients? It'd be a way to be sort involved with Healers without having to cope with icky things (do you remember that time I almost fainted when Eloise got a nosebleed? I just can't bear the sight of blood at all!) I'd have to know something about Potions, but it would emphasise Herbology more. I imagine that I'd have to try for a N.E.W.T. in both subjects.

Studying healing plants could be pretty wizard, and it would give you a good angle for the programme since I think they might be teaching that sort of thing.

For me, I'm torn because there are a lot of thing that I think I wouldn't mind doing--like working with magical creatures--what I really truly want is to be some sort of artist--a writer or a singer or maybe a painter or someone who does effects for the theater.

But I don't know any artists, so I don't know where to start!
